Off to see Sade

Many of you might not know this, but I have had a crush on Sade for as long as I can remember. So, when I heard that she was going to do a tour I knew I had to be there!
We are leaving for Chicago Friday morning and the concert is Saturday night.
I had been looking for a shirt to wear, and I finally found one at NY & Co. I fell in love with it the moment I walked in the door! I will post pics of the whole look after the concert, but for now, here is what the top half will look like!

Any of you been to or making plans to go see Sade and John Legend? How was the show?

transitions…

I am not sure if I mentioned it on here, but I have decided to start the process to natural hair. Can’t say that it was one particular event that led me to this decision, but a culmination of events. I am tired of the process that goes along with having relaxed hair, and I want to go back to my natural state…to truly have “healthy” hair.  I eventually want to get locs, but I think I will “hang out” with my loose natural hair for a little while. Maybe a year or two…just to get used to having it. I have had a relaxer for a long time. I used to get press and curl until I was about 9 or so. Anyway, I found one hairstyle that I want to rock for a while once I go natural. I think this is so nice.

So, the Mrs. and I are going to NYC this weekend. We bought tickets a few months ago to see The Wiz on Broadway. She is so excited because The Wiz is her favorite movie. I am excited to get a vacation away from the city.  We will hook up with some of my family who live in the area…and will definitely check out the fireworks from the Brooklyn Bridge.

Well, I am over here on campus during my lunch break. Decided to take a moment to post. Gonna try to be more consistent with it. There is so much going on that keeps me busy, but I will try to stop by at least once a day to put something up. I hope all is well with everyone. Have a safe and blessed 4th of July!!!

things to do

I just got home from work. I put in a leave slip to take off from 2:30 to 4pm. As of right now, I have officially started my Christmas vacation. I don’t have to go back to work until January 5th.

I am in the process of moving. My fiance bought a house almost 2 years ago, and I have an apartment, so it is easier for me to move in with her. I have done all of the packing, and I am now in the process of transporting my clothes. I need to stop by Ikea on the way to pick up a couple of items. I will spend Thursday and Friday getting everything moved and getting my apartment cleaned up. Then, I will spend the weekend getting my stuff in order in the house. I am a neat freak, and my fiance is messy. So, this could get very interesting.

The clock is slowly ticking, so I better be on my way! Hope you’re all having a wonderful day.
