I received some beads and charms in the mail on Saturday, so I decided to sit down and make some bracelets to put in the shop. If you would like to purchase any of these, or see what else I have, here is the link.
Peace and blessings,
Michelle

When Whitney Houston passed away I made a bracelet as a tribute to her. It’s called “On Angels Wings”.
When my cousin Whitley, who is an avid Aaliyah fan, saw the bracelet she asked me to make one for her in honor of Aaliyah. I made the bracelet and named it “On Angels Wings 2.0″.
I sent the picture to her to edit it and this is what she sent back. The girl is wicked on a computer…and with a camera!

I have pretty much taken a knitting and crocheting break for the entire summer. I have traveled a little and spent time with friends and family. I also took classes this summer which took time away from my crafting. Although I enjoyed every moment spent with my loved ones, I must say that there were times when I missed knitting and crocheting.
So, now that the summer is winding down, it’s time to line up my knitting and crochet projects. I will be leaving for my family reunion this Friday, so I plan to take a project with me. I will choose that project from these 4 items.
Which would you choose?
Peace and Blessings,
Michelle
First, let me say thank you to all past and present Vets who put their lives on the line for our country each and every day. Special shout out to my Aunt Gail and the other members of my family who have served!
I went to a cookout at my friend Anjii’s house yesterday for a cookout, then I hung out with my friend C.W. and her new girlfriend. We had a wonderful time watching fire works and eating pizza at Cassano’s. So, I spent today in the house working on some crafts and watching the Criminal Minds marathon. I love that show!!!
I have been wanting a sleeve for my MacBook, so I started one this morning. I don’t have many rows yet, but I will work on it this week.
I also spent today painting beads for the Abacus that I am working on. I currently have 50 beads painted completely, 10 beads (yellow) that I need to put a second coat on, and 40 beads still waiting to be painted. I am loving the colors though. Can’t wait to get to the next step of the process.
It felt good to be off work, and doing some crafts. I can spend every day crafting something. So, how did you all spend your Memorial Day? Was there any crafting involved, or lots of sun and food?
Peace and Blessings,
Lately I have been in a knitting frenzy. I am making stuff for friends, and planning time to make stuff for myself! I have come across so many patterns that I want to make! I don’t know if I will ever get to all of them, but I am going to try.
Here is a list of a few things I have been working on, and that I plan to work on.
I am not sure of the order that the wordpress app posts in. Hopefully it will post in the order I uploaded.
1. Cotton Seed Infinity Scarf
2. Toast (Sleeves)
3. Berroco Astor
4. Plain & Simple Pullover
5. Farmer’s Market cardigan
6. Mud Sweater
7. Garter Stitch blanket (For my niece Christian, who is due May 17th)
8. Empire Waist Cardigan
9. Inca Marl Coat
10. Harvest Moon

Before I get into this post, I would just like to send out a Rest In Peace to Rue McClanahan. She has given me many years of entertainment, and I am looking forward to the marathon. “Thank you for being a friend…”
As I stated in a previous post, I have really taken a liking to crocheting again. I taught myself when I was 8 years old, and let it go for a long while. Now that I am back into it, I have started making items for the house as well as clothing. I will soon open a new shop on Etsy, and I am really excited about that. I love making something from almost nothing.
Lately I have been trying to make our home a more organized one. I craft with a group of friends, and I am usually in charge of finding the patterns that we will work on. I found a pattern for stash baskets, and thought they would be good around the house. So far I have done two of them for our home, and I am working on two to make baby shower gift baskets to sell in the shop. I am making a pink one and a blue one, and each will have items for a baby. I will post a picture of those once they are complete.
Here is a pic of the start of the basket. I love the design in the bottom of the basket, and I am somewhat saddened by the fact that you never get to see it once you put stuff in them.
Here is a pic of the completed basket which now sits on our dresser in the master bedroom.
We had a few more items that needed a storage place, so I crocheted another basket.
My next step is to make some stash baskets to go inside the one of the dresser drawers. They will hold things like scrunchies, hair clips and things like that.
As I stated above, I usually pick out the patterns for our group projects. So, this is the pattern that I picked out for our next project. What do you all think? I can’t wait to start this one. I started it a few years back, and school got the best of me, so I never finished it. I will post pics of it once it is complete.
