I have been talking about this headboard for a while, and I finally made it! Joann’s had a sale on foam, 50% off! The regular price is $30 a yard, and I used two yards for this project.
I ordered the fabric from Etsy and I got the plywood from Home Depot. I started the process by cutting the foam to size and placing it on the plywood to make sure the size was correct.
Once all the measurements were good I placed the batting on the floor, then put the foam on that and the plywood on top. Then I stapled the batting to the plywood.
At this point I laid out my fabric and centered the batting wrapped plywood on it and stapled the fabric to the plywood. Here is the final piece!
Here is the headboard on the wall.
Do you have a headboard on your bed? Would you consider making one?
Peace and blessings,
Michelle

A couple of years ago, my sister and mom made me headboard using a door they bought at Home Depot. my goal this year is to add some foam and a cute fabric to it. should be exciting.

@thewritersays I have seen a few doors made into headboards on some blogs that I frequent. I think that is a wonderful idea!! Do you have an idea of what color fabrics you would like?

I don’t have one…would really like one…I think I would rather pay someone to make one for me…one should know their crafty limits and I think mine stops with the staple gun! Yours is very pretty by the way.

Do you have some crafty friends who can make one for you?
I know what you mean about the staple gun…I had a couple close calls with mine.
Thanks for the compliment. I can’t wait to get some new pillows.
